Where Chris Murphy’s Automotive Got Its Start 

Chris Murphy has always been mechanically inclined, which served him well when he joined the United States Army. This is where Chris learned the precision and accuracy required to service and repair wheel and track vehicles. He worked on Jeeps all the way up to 60-ton track recovery vehicles. Once he returned to civilian life, Chris pursued his career as a mechanic, spending the next 12 years working for an independent garage and a family owned automotive repair shop. Along the way, Chris learned the ins and outs of the business-side of things and decided to venture out on his own.

In 1992, Chris Murphy’s Automotive repair shop was opened with the goal of providing Dallas residents with superior repairs and car care. As a business owner, Chris can be found in the garage working on repairs, as he has a true passion for mechanics. 

Our primary goal is to take a proactive and preventative approach to extending the life of your vehicle. Preventive care is also the best way to reduce the likelihood of major repairs, but when the need arises, we are here to get you back on the road safe and sound!
